Mattakkuliya quadruple murder: Court allows detention of 11 suspects

Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya today allowed police to detain and interrogate the 11 suspects arrested over the quadruple murder in Marrakkuliya till October 31. 

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) had requested permission from the court to keep the suspects in police custody for questioning as more information was required from them in connection to the incident. 

Four persons were killed while another 3 were critically wounded following a shooting incident at Samithpura, Mattakkuliya on Sunday (23).

A total of 11 suspects including an underworld figure known as ‘Kudu Roshan’ were arrested by the CCD in Wewalwatta, Ratnapura and Subodha Mawatha, Kadawatha.
