Four more suspected ‘Ava Group’ members remanded

Four individuals suspected of being associated with the ‘Ava Group’, a criminal gang operating in Jaffna, were remanded till November 16 after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today. 

Six suspects previously arrested over their links to the same criminal group were also remanded till November 16 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Atigala, after they were produced at court.

Meanwhile the identification parade for the 13 suspects arrested in connection with the shooting in Mattakkuliya, which claimed the lives of four persons, has been postponed till November 25.
