Sri Lanka Navy carried out a disinfection programme over all the locations at the Central Fish Market in Paliyagoda, on Tuesday (21).
With the discovery of a coronavirus infected person in Piliyandala area recently, the places visited by this person are being sterilized. According to the information that he had visited the Paliyagoda fish market, the premises was completely disinfected by the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit attached to the Western Naval Command under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.
The CBRN Unit properly decontaminated every location on the fish market premises, in accordance with proper sterilization guidelines, the navy said.
