Three dead after three-wheeler collides with tipper

Three persons have died following an accident involving a three-wheeler and a tipper truck in Weeraketiya, Hambantota.
Police said that the three deceased, between the ages 25-30, were traveling in the three-wheeler when the accident occurred last evening.
One of them was killed instantly while the other two were rushed to the Weeraketiya and Tangalle hospitals in critical condition.
However, they had both succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment, police said.
Weeraketiya police is investigating the incident.
