The aim of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is to draft a Constitution that would not require to go through a referendum, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva says.

Silva pointed out the proposed Constitution would further strengthen the unity of the country and form a new electoral system.

The Minister also dismissed allegation that the new Constitution would bring a federal solution.
