Wimal allowed to attend Parliamentary Committee Sessions

National Freedom Front leader (NFF) Wimal Weerawansa has been granted permission to attend Parliamentary Committee meetings.
The permission was granted following a request made by his counsel to the Colombo High Court on Monday, Ada Derana reporter said.
A bail application has also been filed seeking the release of MP Weerawansa with the Colombo High Court.
Weerawansa is accused of misusing several vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat Office, during his tenure as the Minister of Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, and thereby causing losses to the tune of Rs 41 million to the government.
