SL recieves support from Seychelles to combat use of Narcotics

The President of the Seychelles, Mr. Danny Faure has conveyed his full support to help Sri Lanka fight against the use of Narcotic substances, during a meeting held yesterday (27), at the President’s official residence.
He further added that the Seychelles will utilize its necessary sectors to provide the information required to combat the issue of the consumption of Narcotics, while appreciating the efforts made under the Presidents program to solve the problem.
Discussions have been made regarding the strengthening of the ties between industries such as the fisheries, agriculture and tourism between the two countries, the presidential media spokesperson revealed.
Mr. Faure further recognized and praised the legal frame work that’s in place and the health care system that existed, given the fact that a vast number of Seychelles Nationals travel to Sri Lanka to received treatment.
The presidential media representative unit stated that Mr. Maithripala Sirisena has been invited to attend a ceremony, that will be held in the Seychelles, as the chief guest which will be marking the three years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
