Kalutara shooting: man who helped criminals remanded

A suspect arrested for allegedly aiding the gang members involved in Kalutara shooting incident on 27 February, has been remanded until 23 March, Ada Derana reporter said.
The individual was apprehended after the police found his involvement in giving a tip-off to the gang members on the day of the incident, it was reported.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has also apprehended a woman from Walahanduwa, Galle on March 16 for allegedly providing a hideout for a suspect. However, she was released on bail, Ada Derana reporter added.
Currently, the police have identified the involvement of two underworld gangs in the shooting which left seven dead including two prison guards.
