China’s Minister of Defense arrives in Sri Lanka

China’s Minister of Defense, General Chang Wanquan, has landed on Sri Lankan soil, for his three day tour of Sri Lanka. 

High ranking members of the Ministry of Defense of Sri Lanka, as well as members from the High commission of China in Sri Lanka, were present to welcome General Wanquan, and the 21 members who accompanied him. 

The General along with the President, Prime Minister and other ministers will engage in discussion regarding the regional security situation, of status quo as well as the security ties that exist between China and Sri Lanka. 

The tour of Sri Lanka was followed after the  General Wanquan’s  tour of Bangladesh.
