Paper submitted to cabinet on Hambantota port ownership to China

An agreement paper regarding the handing over of the Hambantota port to Chinese investors has been presented to the cabinet, Ada Derana learns. 

A presidential committee has been appointed, with representatives from the Port Authorities and Ministry to make sure that the decision made will benefit the country’s economy and will protect its assets.
