Probe underway after documents theft at Balapitiya HC

An investigation has been launched after several vital court documents went missing after thieves broke into archives and storage of the Balapitiya High Court, police said.


An unidentified group of persons had entered the court premises for the theft in the wee hours of this morning, according to police.


The officials said several court documents related to prosecution of suspects have gone missing and further investigations are ongoing to obtain latent fingerprints and trace evidence.
