Release of Indian boats leave fishermen in North unhappy

Fishermen in the North have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding the decision that was made to release the boats of the Indian fishermen , held under the custody of the Sri Lankan government.
The Indian fishermen have stated that if the boats are handed over to the respective owners, the fishermen will not resume fishing practices within the Sri Lankan marine territory.
Hence fishermen in the north have expressed their opposition to the decision that has been made.
Due to the poor condition the boats ate found in have resulted multiple oil spills and leaks, which are having negative effects on the marine environment surrounding Sri Lanka, according to the Ministry of Fisheries.
