Health trade unions strike...

Nurses and other health workers stage a protest in front of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (Teaching) in Borella, coinciding with the token strike launched by several trade unions in the health sector from 7am to 12 noon on Friday (June 11).

All Ceylon Health Service Union, Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association, Government Nursing Officers’ Association, Public Health Inspectors’ Union (PHIU), Family Health Service Officers’ Association and several other health trade unions have joined the token strike launched by the All Ceylon Health Trade Union Federation.
