Water supply to parts of Colombo restricted for 24 hours

April 21, 2017   06:00 pm

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that the water supply to several areas in Colombo will be restricted for 24 hours from 6.00pm today (21) to 6.00pm tomorrow, due to urgent repairs.

Colombo Fort, Slave Island, Kollupitiya, Bambalapitiya, Borella and Maradana will be affected by this as water will be supplied at low pressure to these areas during the aforementioned time period.

The water board said that this is due to urgent repairs required to the main pipeline supplying water from the Ambatale water treatment plant to Colombo.
