Treasury bond commission receives extension on term

The Presidential Commission appointed to investigate the treasury bond scandal have extended their term. 

The secretary of the commission, Sumathipala Udugamasuriya stated that an official letter has been sent by the president, extending the investigation period by three months. 

The commission which was due to conclude its proceedings on the 27 of April, has its terms extended till the 27 of July. 

The commission has been able to question 14 witnesses linked to the case. 

Ada Derana reporters reveal that the former directress of the Central Bank, Kalyani Gunathilaka has been summoned by the commission to provide evidence.
