Cabinet convenes for the first time since reshuffle

A cabinet meeting was held today (23) from 8.00 am onwards, marking its first gathering since the cabinet reshuffle.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also attended the meeting which was led by President Maithripala Sirisena.
Sources confirmed that the 9 cabinet ministers and state minister who were sworn in during the cabinet reshuffling yesterday (22) were also present at today’s meeting.
Meanwhile, Mahinda Samarasinghe who was sworn in as the Minister of Ports and Shipping yesterday (22), formally assumed duties today (23).
