GDP rose by 5 percent during my reign - Ravi

During my tenure as the Minister of Finance, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose from 10 percent to 15.5 percent, former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake says.

Ravi Karunanayake who served as the Finance Minister was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs after the cabinet reshuffle.

 Minister Karunanayake stated this during an interview with the BBC Sinhala news corporation, where he expressed his views on being removed from his position as Minister of Finance.
