Man held over shooting incident in Elpitiya

The police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting occurred in Nugetota, Elpitiya yesterday which left three persons injured, police said.


A man has fled the area after opening fire at the victims following a land dispute, it was reported.


The arrested person has been charged with assisting the main suspect to carry out the shooting, police added. A police team has been deployed to arrest the key suspect.


The wounded persons are receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Teaching hospital.
