26-year-old hacked to death in Kottawa

Kottawa Police reported that a woman has been hacked to death with a sharp weapon in Kottawa.

An investigation was commenced by the Kottawa Police after they received information of a woman’s murder committed by severing her head.

The murder had been committed in the deceased’s own home along the Horana Road.

The deceased is reported to be a 26-year-old by the name of Tharindi Aloka.

Police reported that the body had been deposited at the Homagama Hospital after the inquiry by magistrate.

Post-mortem investigations are due to be conducted today (23).

Kottawa Police are in the process of conducting further investigations to retrieve information enabling the arrest of potential suspects.
