3 killed following accident in Hambantota

Three persons have been killed after a trishaw collided head on with a tipper truck in Hambantota this morning, police said.
The accident occurred on Lunawa to Hambantota road, police added.
The remains of the deceased were taken to the Hambantota hospital for a post-mortem. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and he will be produced before a Magistrate today.
Two other persons who sustained injuries have also been admitted to the same hospital, police said.
