MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara stated that the decision was made yesterday (20), at discussions held at the former president,  Mahinda Rajapakse’s  residence.

Speaking on the topic regarding MP Wimal Weerawansa’s departure from the Constitutional Assembly, former President Mahinda Rajapakse stated that the departure was a unanimous decision made by members of the JNP, also known as the National Freedom Front (NFF) during party discussions.

When inquired about MP Roshan Ranasinghe’s temporary leave from party activities, President Maithripala Sirisena stated that a group of government party representatives will hold discussions with the Joint Opposition Party regarding the matter.
