President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the country will only move forward if they prioritise their agricultural sector.

He further added that a favorable economical environment should be developed within the farming community, while people should attempt to manufacture imports locally while becoming self sufficient.

Sirisena stated that  the government will be prioritising such practices.

The statements were brought out during the handing over of the Unit 12 tank in Ganthalawe, Kalutara, to the people  today (21).
