Two held with illegal firearms in Maha Oya

Police officers arrested two suspects for the possession of two locally-manufactured firearms without permits in the Bogamuyaya area in Maha Oya.

The arrests were made following a raid carried out by a team of officers attached to the Maha Oya Police Station. 

The suspects, a 52-year-old and a 61-year-old from Maha Oya, are to be produced at the Dehiattakandiya Magistrate’s Court today (22).
