Minister Gayantha Karunatileke stated that in order to protect the dignity of war heroes, those who had done wrong should be punished by the law.

He added that if they weren’t, it would defame the image of soldiers within the country.

The statements were brought out during a media briefing held in Colombo today (24).

Karunatileke father added certain individuals were putting on a facade for the media, expressing their sorrow for the treatment of war heroes and defense personnel.

He further stated that when the necessary investigations on the allegations made were carried out, the feathers of those who commanded those investigations have been ruffled.
