Main suspect in Nallur shooting turns himself in

The main suspect involved in the shooting in Nallur, Jaffna handed himself over to the police today (25).
Police have identified the suspect as a 39-year-old male named Selwarasa Jayanthan.
The shooting which occurred last Saturday (22), claimed the life of one of the Police officers who had worked for the Jaffna High Court Judge, M. Illanchelian.
The incident had reportedly occurred at around 5.30pm near the Nallur Kovil in Jaffna while the shooter had targeted the vehicle the judge was traveling in.
UPDATE (6.37pm) - The main suspect in the Nallur shooting incident who was arrested this morning has been remanded till August 08 by the Jaffna Magistrate.
