President Maithripala Sirisena stated that no one can quell the forward march for the country’s progress, and added that the progressive movement was the result of years of political experience.

The President said that all plots would be in vain and that the current government could not be toppled by anyone.

He also remarked that the very people who were exiled from power by the public were now fantasizing about rising to power again.

The President expressed these sentiments upon attending an event at the Ibbagamuwa Muslim College yesterday (26).

During his address, President Sirisen also touched upon the topic of trade union action.
