Egyptian caught holding liquor without permit in Pothuvil

A foreign national has been arrested in Pothuvil for possession of liquor without a valid permit.

The Egyptian national was thus arrested by the Police Special Task Force whilst he was transporting the license-less liquor in a vehicle.

The Police STF has handed him over to Pothuvil Police for onward legal action.

18 bottles and 48 cans of liquor had been found in the suspect’s possession.

The suspect is due to be produced before the Pothuvil Magistrate’s Court the day after tomorrow (31).
