Consumers would not be hindered - Siyambalapitiya

A regular supply of electricity would be maintained throughout the country, without causing any hindrance to consumers due to the CEB strike action, Power and Renewable Energy Ministry affirmed.

The power stations including Norochcholai and Kerawalapitiya are being operated as usual, despite CEB employees’ strike action,The Ministry said.

“Minor electricity breakdowns have been reported from several areas. However immediate steps have been taken to recover them. A number of Employees engaged in the trade union action are reporting back to work” Power and Renewable Energy Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.
