Mahajana Rajya Sabhawa condemns Speaker of Parliament

The Mahajana Rajya Sabhawa stated that the Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya, who is to act as a pillar of democracy, has conducted himself in a defamatory manner that condemns the democratic system. 

Speaking to the media at a press conference held today (26), Ven. Kapugollewa Ananda thero stated that the Speaker of parliament has displayed his biasness towards the government through several decisions and statements made during his tenure. 

He further stated that the Mahajana Rajya Sabhawa condemned the biasness displayed by Karu Jayasuriya who served the nation as a long standing public servant. 

Ven. Kapugollewa Ananda thero stated that the Speaker should display a more unbiased stance for the betterment and protection of democracy within Sri Lanka.
