Sri Lanka will announce today about Pakistan’s tour for the third Twenty20 International, that is set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Sri Lankan team manager Asanka Gurusinha revealed that the cricket board will take a final decision of either touring to Pakistan or not, after the board members’ meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Monday.

Gurusinha announced to the media in Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium prior to the press conference of Sri Lankan skipper Upul Tharanga.

The team manager requested the media not to ask further questions about Sri Lanka’s tour to Pakistan.

“Sri Lankan cricket board will announce it on Monday (today), please don’t ask questions about the tour from the Lankan players,” Asanka Gurusinha clearly stated in the conference room of Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

After the press conference of the Lankan captain, team manager Gurusinha also spoke with the media about the arrangements and security situation in Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan’s security situation had been improving and the Pakistani cricket authorities have assured them the best security for the team.

Gurusinha was one of the main pillars of Sri Lanka’s 1996 World Cup winning batting lineup of the final held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
