PM Ranil Wickramasinghe should not only testify, but should also appear before Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating the Treasury bond as a respondent, MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara said.

He made this statement addressing a media briefing at Socialist People’s ‘Front.

The Commission should summon PM immediately in this regard, Nanayakkara said.

However, the Prime Minister made a statement in Parliament which was contrary to the COPE report on the bond issue, thereby misleading the Parliament. The Prime Minister should make a clear statement regarding this matter, Nanayakkara added.
