Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Kapila Waidyaratne stated that the rumour circulating that there are two laws practiced within the country is completely false and that the law of the land is exercised devoid of prejudice.

Speaking to the media following his visit to the Dalada Maligawa yesterday (18), the Defence Secretary stated that all steps are being taken to ensure that National Security is not infringed.

He further stated that the warped perception and interpretation of certain individuals on the judiciary should not be taken into consideration.

Kapila Waidyaratne further stated that people should not abuse the right to freedom of speech and mislead the public by making false statements.
