Wasim Thajudeen Murder; former Colombo Chief JMO surrenders to court

UPDATE: (2.55pm) - Former Colombo Chief JMO Prof. Ananda Samarasekara, who surrendered to Colombo Magistrate’s Court, has been granted bail.


Former Colombo Chief Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) Prof.Ananda Samarasekara surrendered to courts a short while ago over the alleged murder of former rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.

Meanwhile,Prof. Samarasekara had filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an interim order preventing CID from arresting him in connection with the alleged loss of body parts of late Wasim Thajudeen.

However the Attorney General informed Court there is a possibility of arresting former Colombo Chief Medical Officer Prof.Ananda Samarasekara over the alleged loss of body parts of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
