Pakistani national arrested with 750 grams of heroin

A Pakistani national was arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau at the Bandaranaike International Airport, with 75 ten gram packets of heroin pellets each that he had swallowed.
Police Media Unit said the suspect had arrived on a flight from Doha in Qatar Airlines early this morning. He was taken into custody by officers from the Police Anti-Narcotics Bureau based at BIA.
The 57-year-old suspect was admitted to the Negombo Hospital and he has so far passed 42 heroin pellets from his body, police further said.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Police Narcotic Bureau.
