21-year old suspect detained for multiple robberies

A suspect connected to several robberies in Kankesanthurai was detained today (18), by local authorities following an operation conducted by the Kankesanthurai crimes division.

The arrest was made following intelligence received by the Kankesanthurai crimes division together with local police officers.

Local authorities confiscated two gaming consoles, two DVD players a camera and a 3 pound piece of gold jewellery from the residence of the suspect at the time of arrest.

Police sources confirm that the arrested individual is a 21-year old resident of Kankesanthurai.
