Suspect connected to multiple crimes detained in Habaraduwa

A suspect connected to multiple major crimes was arrested by the Habaraduwa police earlier today (19).
The suspect was detained following an investigation that was conducted into a shooting incident reported near the Habaraduwa-Meegoda bridge earlier this month.
It has been reported that the arrested person has two previous counts of rape, two cases for the illegal possession of firearms and 10 counts of robbery recorded.
The police reported that a bomb manufactured overseas was confiscated at the time of arrest.
The suspect will be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s court tomorrow (20).
