Man nabbed with ice, cocaine and hash in Dematagoda

The Law Enforcement Unit of Colombo Central has arrested a 41-year-old suspect in Dematagoda area for the possession of various types of illegal drugs. 

Police said that around 45g and 700mg of “ice”, which is also known as crystal meth, 5g and 560mg of cocaine and also 47g and 890mg of hash was found in the suspect’s possession. 

He is to be produced at the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today (23). 

Meanwhile in a separate incident a foreigner has been arrested for the posseison of cocaine and Kerala Cannabis in the Midigama area in Weligama. 

The 45-year-old Japanese national was nabbed with 110g of Kerala Ganja and 20g of cocaine in an operation carried out based on information received by Matara Division anti-vice unit.

He is to be produced at the Matara Magistrate’s Court.
