New constitution should be defeated in parliament – Gotabhaya

December 6, 2017   07:54 am

Former Secretary of Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa stated that the country will face several administrative challenges if the proposed new constitution is not defeated in parliament.

He stated that the discussion of devolution of power is a mere mask to create a separate state within the country. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa also stated that devolving powers to only one region will not solve the issues of the entire Tamil populace.

The former Secretary of Defence expressed these sentiments while addressing a gathering in Galle.
