The protests launched by the trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will continue for the second day today (12).

CEB Trade Union Secretary Ranjan Jayalal stated that the protests will be conducted before the Fort CEB head office in Colombo. He further stated that the protests are being conducted due to a fraud committed by a high-ranking official during the distribution of salaries to CEB employees.

He also stated that CEB employees will engage on a large scale strike action if a solution is not provided by the government or the CEB.
