Malaysian Prime Minister arrives

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (17) for a three-day official visit.
The Malaysian Prime Minister accompanied by a 30-member delegation arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport in a Special Malaysian flight at 8.35 am, Ada Derana Airport Correspondent reported.
The Malaysian PM paid a visit to Sri Lanka on the invitation of President Maithripala Sirisena as this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between both countries, Foreign Affairs Ministry stated.
A bilateral discussion is scheduled be held between the Malaysian PM and President Sirisena tomorrow (18).
Najib and Sirisena will also be signing three memoranda of understanding (MoU) pertaining to Science and Technology, bio-economic development cooperation and training of state officials.
During his visit, the Malaysian PM will meet Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sri Lanka’s business leaders, the Malaysian community and representatives of Malaysian companies in Sri Lanka, it is reported.
