The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) employees will engage on a large scale strike action if their issues are not solved by tomorrow, (18) the Joint Trade Union Alliance of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.
The hunger strike launched by the trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) was continued for the seventh day today (17) in front of CEB Head Office, Colombo, said Operational Committee member of the union M.G. Jayathilake.
Further speaking he stated that the fast is being continued as the discussions held with the officials failed.
The hunger strike is being conducted opposing a fraud committed by a high-ranking official during the distribution of salaries to CEB employees.
