Police probe O/L student using mobile phone during exam

Police has commenced an investigation into the incident of a student using a mobile phone during the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.

The student had reportedly used a mobile to answer the O/L Maths paper which was held today (18).

The accused student had sat for the examination in an Examination Center in Anuradhapura.

UPDATE: (8.00am) - The mobile phone and answer paper of the Anuradhapura student, who had answered questions using the application known as Viber during the exam, have been taken into custody by police.
