Free Tabs for A/L students and teachers on hold

The Cabinet has decided to suspend the issuing of Tablets to Advanced Level students and teachers of government schools free of charge, the Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.  

Sri Lanka’s Budget 2017 included an expenditure of Rs. 5 billion to provide free tabs for almost 175,000 students who enter the A/L classes and around 28,000 A/L teachers.
