Govt. surveyors go on strike

March 14, 2018   08:49 am

The Government Surveyors’ Association will engage in a three-day token strike action from today onwards (14).

President of the Association, W.M.B. Udugoda alleged that the move to hand over the Department to a foreign firm has been met with disapproval by Survey Department employees, who see it as a threat to national security and wasteful expenditure.

Meanwhile, protest is due to be held in Colombo on March 16, Udugoda added.
