2,879 wanted suspects arrested in island-wide operation

A total of 2,879 wanted suspects have been arrested in connection with various crimes following an island-wide police operation this morning (24).
Meanwhile 7,516 cases have been filed for traffic violations during the special operation, according to Police Media Unit.
The operations have been carried out on the directions of Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara.
