Treasury instructed to release sufficient funds to provide relief to flood victims

Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera has instructed the Treasury officials to release sufficient funds to provide relief to flood victims immediately. 

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance and Media, Secretary Dr. R.H.S Samaratunga states that funds have been released to relevant units immediately after requests received from the Disaster Management Center (DMC) and Government Agents to provide relief, on a district level, to people affected by the adverse weather condition.
