Six Sri Lankan fishermen arrested off Seychelles

Six Sri Lankan fishermen have been arrested in the sea area off Seychelles.
A group of fishermen who set out to sea from Beruwala have been arrested in international waters off the archipelago located in the far west corner of the Indian Ocean.
The fishermen were reportedly arrested along with the trawler ‘Nuwan Putha’.
Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Seychelles, Tikiri Herath Gunathilaka, said that they were ordered remanded until June 20 by a court.
