The country currently exists only because of the working public who pay taxes and not because of the leaders who govern the country, says JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti.

According to him, 88% of the public are paying indirect taxes.

Although the former President ended the war, he only received accusations of fraud and corruption from the public, said Handunnetti.

He expressed these vies at an event held in Mirigama.
