Regulatory Commission for three-wheelers to be appointed

August 20, 2018   04:46 pm

Draft proposal to set up a Regulatory Commission for three-wheelers has been sent to the Attorney General’s Department.

This was informed by the Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera.

The government can never change the three-wheeler culture and this is only an attempt to introduce some framework for it, says the Minister.

Transport Commission has already implemented a program for this and a draft bill has been sent to the AG department, according to Minister Samaraweera.

As soon as it is received, regulatory activities will be commenced, he further said.
