Sri Lanka’s national security has not weakened in any way, says President Maithripala Sirisena.

He has stated this today (14), during a meeting with the heads of media institutions, at the President’s House in Colombo.

He said that the armed forces of the country are stronger than ever and that they continue to safeguard the country.

He also said that he has directed to compile a book on the 30 years of war in Sri Lanka.

The President further stated that necessary steps will be taken on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Singapore after the committee appointed to look into the agreement submits its recommendations.
